Professional Experience

Mr. Harbin began his career working in the railroad tank and hopper car industry. Ken started out in Sales and after promotions to Corporate Planning, Purchasing and as Corporate Secretary for the parent corporation, Ken became President of the single largest, wholly owned, non-consolidated railcar leasing subsidiary. Mr. Harbin has also owned and/or operated several businesses in the printing, truck repair and business consulting industries. 

Ken was initially introduced to the business valuation and acquisition process in the late 1970’s. In recent years, Mr. Harbin has returned to ‘his roots’ and is specializing in the valuation and successful transition of medical related professional practices.

Ken is also the owner of Harbin Valuations, LLC which provides financial appraisals and consulting services for professional medical practices as well as small to medium sized companies. Ken has attained the CBA designation through the Institute of Business Appraisers, his CVA designation is through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and his consultancy designation (AInstIB) through the Institute for Independent Business.
